Review: Greek and Roman MythologyBoth books are sturdy and well designed. They will lay flat for copying, and most of the illustrations should copy well. Maps accompany some entries, but a series of maps in the front matter supplemented by smaller maps of battles and so forth would have been useful. The writing should be accessible to advanced-placement middle-school students and above. Articles in both works range from a few lines to a few double-column pages. The volume on Rome includes a chronology and a list of emperors that ends with Romulus Augustulus, the last Western Roman Emperor. The mythology volume includes a chapter covering 12 major myth cycles, which should be helpful to students with mythology assignments...These volumes would be suited to school libraries and public libraries serving middleand highschool students.Booklist, June 2002
